With Basware's Touchless Feedback Loop, you can view SmartPDF's data-capture quality in the reports available in Insights. Reporting is available to all customers regardless of the reporting mode (touchless or error codes) and is ideal for investigating areas for improvement at the supplier or field level, or in combination.

 

To begin

• Go to AP Automation and Procurement
• Open Insights, and then under "Data source and quality" select "Invoice data quality"

 

For Insights Essentials

• Select " Start date " and " End date " from " Controls, and also "Invoice origin".
  • The recommendation is to select all SmartPDF options except "SmartPDF - XML," as it should be analyzed separately.

Under "How good is the invoice quality?" a diagram shows how overall volumes by selected invoice origins are behaving.

Additionally, under "How does invoice quality vary by origin, supplier and organization?" will tell more specifically which area or areas should be focused on.

For example, you can sort "Invoice quality by supplier" by overall quality, and you can also export the data to a CSV file by hovering over the area, clicking the three dots, and selecting "Export to CSV".

 

For Insights Pro

• Click the Header analysis tab, and select from "Controls" the "Start date" and "End date", and also "Invoice origin", and select from "Show invoice list" an option such as "Yes, show values before and after change"

The report offers the following

• How good is the invoice quality?
  • Overall invoice quality
  • Header quality
  • Line quality

Under the section "Invoice header field values before and after changes," you can export the before-and-after changes by hovering over the area, clicking the three dots, and selecting "Export to CSV." It includes rich data you can use to further investigate root causes, especially if your company policy allows you to use AI tools for analysis.
