AP Automation - Tenant isolation breach attempt error while transferring invoices in 26.8.1 release

Basware has identified an issue affecting invoice transfer in AP Automation after 26.8.1 release deployment.

Issue Start: The issue was introduced when AP Automation release 26.8.1 was deployed to customer environments.

Service Incident ID: BWPB0049160

Impact Summary

Release 26.8.1 introduced stricter validation to ensure that AnyERP configurations do not store temporary files in locations that have never been supported. Previously this configuration issue could go unnoticed because temporary files were created silently in an incorrect location. The new validation detects this unsupported configuration and prevents the operation, resulting in invoice transfer failures.

In the invoice history, affected transfer events display the error message: Tenant isolation breach attempt!

Solution

Basware has identified the root cause and implemented a corrective fix in 26.8.2 release.

The fix automatically assigns a valid temporary folder when needed, ensuring that the validation introduced in 26.8.1 remains in place without causing invoice transfer failures. No customer-specific configuration changes are required.

Affected customers will receive the fix as part of their scheduled AP Automation release deployment. The deployment date depends on the release phase applicable to each environment. Customers can find their scheduled deployment date under Service Status > Extended Release Schedule in the Basware Customer Service Portal.
