Each supplier profile in the Basware Admin module includes specific language and regional settings. These settings determine how the Basware AP system formats data and how this data is displayed throughout the platform.

Correct configuration of these settings ensures that all system‑generated documents, messages, and notifications appear in the appropriate language and follow the correct regional formats.

How Language and Regional Settings Affect Supplier Communication

Language Settings

The language selected for a supplier defines the language used for:

• System‑generated documents
• Email notifications
• Messages and templates

For example:

• EN‑US → dates appear as mm/dd/yyyy
• EN‑FI → dates appear as dd/mm/yyyy

Regional Format Settings

The language format also controls key regional presentation details, including:

• Number formatting
  • Decimal dot (.) vs. decimal comma (,)
• Currency format
• Date and time format
  • Examples: dd/mm/yyyy, mm/dd/yyyy

The default setting for supplier and regional language is en-US.
