Since 5 January 2026, 14:00 UTC, Basware has experienced an issue affecting document deliveries to receivers on the Peppol network, causing intermittent processing delays. No business documents have been lost.
On 4 February 2026, a new improvement package was released, resulting in a significant performance boost, with document processing running up to five times faster than during the initial degradation period. This has substantially reduced the backlog and improved delivery times.
Scope
Only business documents delivered to Peppol are affected. All other Basware services remain fully operational.

We have released a new improvement package to the Peppol service, and performance has visibly improved.
Document processing is now running up to 5× faster compared to the initial degradation period. This has significantly reduced the backlog and improved delivery times for business documents sent through the Peppol network.
