In this article, the focus is on coding templates with the type"Coding Difference".
Pre-Requisites
User needs to have rights of Configuration Mode and Data management.
Location: Data Management -> Invoices -> Coding Templates
In the Coding Templates section, users can see a list of templates with different template types.
Types of Templates:
Distributed to the biggest line
When the option "Distributed to the biggest line" is selected, a value must also be given to the Tolerance field. If the coding difference exists within the tolerance set in the coding template and at least one coding row exists in the invoice, then the coding difference will get adjusted to that row. In case there is more than one coding row, then the difference will get adjusted to the row having the biggest sum.
New Coding Line:
If invoice coding difference exists within the tolerance set in the New coding line template, then the coding difference will get adjusted in the new coding row. The new coding row will have all those values that were set by the user in the New coding line template, like Account Code, Cost center code, Last comment, and Project code. Sum-related values will be ignored.
Note: The User needs to add the tolerance in the Tolerance field. Also user needs to add other details in the coding row, like Account Code, Cost center code, Last comment and Project code.
New Copied coding line:
If in invoice coding difference exists in the tolerance set in the new copied coding line template at least one coding row exists in the invoice, then the coding difference will get adjusted in the new coding row by copying the cost center of the biggest existing coding row. In case there are more than one coding row, then the cost centre will get copied from the row having the biggest sum.
Note: The User needs to add the tolerance in the Tolerance field. Also user needs to add other details in the coding row, like Account Code, Last comment, and Project code. Cost centre can not be added in New copied coding line template.
Distributed to AnyERP:
As such, this type of template will not fix any coding difference. This is only added to provide support to fix coding differences using anyERP templates. If this kind of template is used, then coding difference activity will proceed without fixing the difference and generic anyerp activity can be added to fix the difference.
Note: This will require Basware Support to add the AnyERP template.
