Scan & Capture are not able to automatically process all pdf v1.3 documents. Even when capable to process, Scan & Capture are not able to guarantee the accuracy of the data extracted.

• PDF v1.3 was released in 1999 and replaced by PDF v1.4 in 2001
• Many software components do not support v1.3 files, including OCR engines and capture software
• Security vulnerabilities exist in v1.3 that were fixed in version v1.4
