An InvoiceReady user can be assigned one or more processing limits. These can be used by main users / administrators to restrict a user's ability to approve transactions of high value. Below are a few examples of processing limits. For this example, we will examine a user that is part of two different companies: 'Company A' and 'Company B'.
Example 1: No processing limit
If no processing limit is defined for the user, then there is no restriction on the value of the transactions that the user can process.
Example 2: Processing limit set for Company A only
User has a processing limit of 10 000 € defined for Company A, and no processing limit defined for Company B.
Since there now is a processing limit defined for the user, InvoiceReady enforces a processing limit for all companies, even if they have no processing limit set.
In this example, the user can now process transaction of up to 10 000 € value for Company A, and cannot process any transaction for Company B, since no limit is set for this company. In this situation, any companies that the user has no processing limit value defined, the processing limit defaults to zero.
Example 3: Processing limit set for both companies
Expanding on example 2, we now add a processing limit of 100 000 € to Company B. The user can now process transactions for Company A, valued up to 10 000 €, and transactions for Company B, valued up to 100 000 €.
A processing limit can be given a Start date and End date. If only a start date is defined, then the processing limit is in force indefinitely, otherwise it ceases to be in effect after the end date has passed.
You can set separate processing limits for different transaction types. An example would be a user able to process purchase invoices of up to 10 000 € of value, while only being allowed to process travel claims of up to 2 000 € of value.
"Transfer to" -setting defaults to "Supervisor". This means that, if this user is selected as processor for a transaction that exceeds their processing limit, the supervisor (defined in the organization structure) of the company in question is added as a processor for that processing step.
