Inisghts Pro - TIP Team Performance Discovery - Manual Action - 'CommentAdded'

Summary:

You might see less data for the "CommentAdded" action in the TIP Discovery Dashboard than expected.

This article explains how the TIP Discovery Dashboard determines which invoices are included based on manual user actions. It clarifies why invoices with comments only do not appear in the dashboard.

Instructions:

The TIP Team Performance Discovery Dashboard is designed to display invoices where a manual user action has been performed.

During a review of the underlying logic, the following behavior has been confirmed:

1. What counts as a manual action?

A manual action is recorded when a user performs any of the following types of activities on an invoice task:

These actions are tracked in the system and used by the dashboard to determine invoice eligibility.

2. What does not count as a manual action?

The dashboard only includes invoices where the action log type is recorded as UserAction.
Adding only a comment does not create a UserAction entry in the system, and therefore, it is not recognized by the dashboard as a manual action.

As a result, invoices with comments only will not appear in the TIP Team Performance Discovery Dashboard > Manual Actions.

3. Example scenario

If a user forwards a task and adds a comment at the same time, the dashboard will include the invoice in CommentAdded.

Why invoices may be missing from the dashboard

If users are only entering comments without performing any manual actions, the invoices will not be included. This is expected behavior based on the current system design.
