Summary:
Basware Message is sending your Data encrypted with a certificate.
Each electronic certificate has a limited lifetime.
If this error message appears, this time has elapsed for your certificate and Basware Message has tried to create a new random certificate, but failed.
However, you can renew this certificate on your own.
Checklist:
- You can find your Sender ID by opening the Configuration settings on Basware Message.
- In Local Configuration you will find your Sender ID.
Resolution:
- Please send us a short request to delete your certificate and provide us with your sender-ID.
- If you are using a new version of Basware Message (above 3.0.4 or 1.0.7LE), on the C:\ drive you will find the folder Program Data (full path: C:\ProgramData\Basware\Basware Message) and inside of it there will be a file called KeyStore.jks.
NOTE: For older versions and different Windows Operating Systems, KeyStore.jks can be found in one of the following paths : "C:\Program Files\First Businesspost\1stbp Message\ " ,"C:\Users\Public\First Businesspost\1stbp Message\" or "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Basware\Basware Message\";
- Make sure that the program is closed and delete the KeyStore.jks file;
- Restart the software.
- You will be asked for a password. You can either insert a new password or just click OK to continue;
- Select Configuration and go to the tab Server Configuration;
- If you have the confirmation from us that the certificate was removed, please proceed to Exchange public key;
- The issue should be resolved;
