How to clear silverlight and browser cache

How to clear browser cache in Internet Explorer.

  1.  Open Internet Explorer.
  2.  Internet Explorer 8: From the Tools menu choose Internet Options.
  3.  Internet Explorer 9 & Above: In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options.
  4.  On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
  5.  Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
  6.  Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxes.
  7.  The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. You can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
  8.  Click Delete.
  9.  When finished, click OK to return to your Internet Explorer window.
  10.  Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen.

How to clear Silverlight cache in Internet Explorer.

  1. Start up the Silverlight application (Basware Alusta), by right clicking in the browser window and selecting Silverlight.
  2. Right click anywhere inside the application and click ‘Silverlight’.

  3. Open the start menu on your computer and search for Silverlight by typing in the search field. On a MAC Silverlight should be listed under applications.
  4. Click on the“ApplicationStorage” Tab
  5. Choose the application (website) of interest and click "Delete..."

  6. Click "Delete All" to delete the cache for all Silverlight applications.


How to clear browser cache in Safari

  1.  Open Safari > Preferences.
  2.  Select "Advanced" (the rightmost item along the top) and check the box labelled "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
  3.  Close this. Then, an additional menu appears along the top of the Safari browser, called "Develop".
  4.  Click on the Develop menu, and select "Empty Caches".


How to run Safari in unsafe Mode for Mac users

  1. Safari menu > Preferences.
  2. Select the Security item (in the middle of the top row of advanced settings).
  3. UncheckBlockpop-windows.
  4. Check Allow Plug-ins.
  5. Click on the "Plug-in Settings" button. Then, select "Silverlight" on the Left Hand side and locate the Basware website on the right hand side.
  6. When you click on the drop down list of options for this a plugin, you normally only see "On", "Off" or "Ask". However, if you press the Option key and then click on the drop-down list, you get an additional option named "Run in Safe Mode".
  7. Uncheck this option.
