This article will help you to understand which connector software (Bizconnect Server or Bizconnect Client) you are using.

What is Bizconnect?
Bizconnect client/server is stand-alone connector software. 

Both on-premises installed tools enable you to connect to other computers over HTTPS, so that you can exchange electronic documents. The Bizconnect Server software has different features than Bizconnect Client.   

The default installation of Bizconnect Server contains a dsprod dataset for production and dstest for staging. Dataset names could be customized. There have been no new versions of Bizconnect Server created since 2015.


Follow the steps below to check which connector software you are using:

  1. Check the drive where you have installed the Bizconnect software.
  2. If it contains folders like ...\BizconnectServer\dsprod, ...\BizconnectServer\dsprod\trace, or ...\BizconnectServer\dsprod\xsl, then you are using the Bizconnect Server.
  3. If it contains folders like ...\BizConnect\Scripts, ...\BizConnect\logging\cc.log, or ...\BizConnect\events.xml, then you are using the Bizconnect client.
