TEM - Basic Data - Joint Dimensions

If new Joint Dimension is needed or one is missing for any reason, it can be added manually in TEM webadmin with admin rights. Missing joint can cause information missing from document posting rows and/or from journal file created from the documents. Joint Dimensions often come in an interface but not for every customer and temporary importing error can cause missing of a single joint. Joint Dimensions are valid when joining group has Main Group ID added in Dimension Groups table.

It is good to check some existing Joint Dimension and take a print screen to see the data needed for a new joint. If values are not yet in TEM they can be added in Basic Data/Dimensions/Dimensions with 'New' button.

When adding a new joint go to Basic Data/Dimensions/Joint Dimensions and add 'New'. Add information to Group ID (here 2 Cost Center) and the correct value for it (here 1215) then choose Joint Group ID (here 3 Project) and value for it (here 1001144) and press Save. Description can be added if wanted. Correct groups can be checked from Basic Data/Dimensions/Dimension Groups.

Here the new joint means that when cost center 1215 is chosen for a posting row, project 1001144 will be added as default.
